WELCOME TO BOY SCOUT TROOP 242
Troop 242 and the Boy Scouts of America exist to provide boys an effective program designed to build desirable qualities of character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to enhance the development of physical, mental, and emotional fitness. We support the vision of the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. We will try to install in our young men lifetime values and develop in them ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath; all while offering our Scouts responsible fun and adventure. We are a troop that has the ability to help our young men strive to meet or exceed their goals.
If it's Tuesday night...
It must be Boy Scout night! Troop meetings are held each week on Tuesday evenings, with the exception of the summer months. We try to schedule one outdoor activity (hikes, camp outs, day trips) each month. These activities vary in length from one day, to a weekend, to an entire week depending upon the event. Meetings begin promptly at 7:00 pm and will conclude by 8:30 pm. Troop meetings are currently held at Pleasant Lane School in Lombard. If the school is closed we will have an alternate meeting place in advance.
